The Reverie Method is a holistic, multi-modality approach that embraces healing as a life-long journey. An intentional blend of somatic, therapeutic, energetic, and nervous system regulation techniques that empowers you to self-regulate, feel safe in your body, and take ownership of your life.

Each of us has our own challenges, conditioning, trauma, and limiting beliefs that can block our personal alignment and success.

Lifestyle Design

Lifestyle Design is the process of recognizing yourself as the creator of your life and reality. Being empowered by the knowledge that we always have a choice, and when we choose to move past limiting beliefs and societal conditioning we open up to all that is truly possible for us. It’s an opportunity to ask yourself what your dream life looks like and receive the support needed to make it your reality. For those who no longer want to be held back by what they believe they are “supposed” to do, and are ready to discover and pursue what they truly desire from their life.

Meditation

Meditation is an essential tool for experiencing balance, peace, and clarity in our daily lives, and has many physical, mental, and emotional benefits. In a busy world, having a practice that allows you to slow down, be present, replenish your energy, and enhance your performance, productivity, and immune system is a non-negotiable. Like any tool, meditation is a practice that you can improve with time. Anyone can meditate. A common misunderstanding is that meditation requires emptying the mind of thought, but the true practice is observing our thoughts objectively and creating a separation between our thoughts and who we truly are.

Visualization

Visualization is a powerful tool and mental practice that can influence us on a physical, emotional, and energetic level. Our body can not tell the difference between what we see through our eyes, and imagine in our mind. To the body, it’s all reality. What we visualize communicates to our body how it should feel, react, and behave and has a direct influence on our body’s reactions and experience. Focusing on desired outcomes or results can cause a positive chain reaction in the body, whereas ruminating and visualizing potential negative outcomes leads to stress and anxiety, putting our body into a fight-or-flight response. An intentional practice of mindfulness and visualization can enhance performance, regulate our nervous system, and even improve our immune system.

Embodiment

Breathwork

Breathwork has proven to be a powerful tool in regulating the nervous system, with extensive physical, mental, and emotional benefits. A regular breathwork practice can significantly reduce anxiety and stress, increase relaxation, promote clarity of mind, improve our overall wellness, and expand our consciousness. Think of your breath as the connection between your internal and external worlds. Consciously regulating the breath creates a direct line of communication and message to the body that you are safe. When we shift to feeling safe in our bodies our experience of our external world shifts too.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda is an ancient holistic healing system for bringing balance to the mind, body, and soul. Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word that translates to “the Science of Life.” Ayus, meaning mastery of life, and veda, science or knowledge. Ayurveda has been practiced for over 5,000 years and is considered by many to be the oldest known healing system. The foundations of Ayurveda include the importance of movement, meditation, mantras, rituals, proper supplementation, and nourishment for yourself as a whole. The Reverie Method focuses on integrating these practices and routines to balance and support Vata energy, balancing the nervous system.

Movement

Movement benefits our physical, mental, and emotional well-being by creating the space for energy to shift within the body. The Reverie Method incorporates a trauma-informed approach that understands emotions and energy can get stuck in the body when a trauma cycle has not been completed. Conscious movement allows us to tap into and express stuck energy within the body, allowing a release and completion of the cycle for lasting healing.

Rituals

Our relationship with ourselves requires the same consistent attention and love as any other relationship. Taking the time to connect to yourself, mind, body, and soul, each day, cultivates a deep state of presence. From this place of calm and groundedness, you are able to tune in, notice when you are out of alignment and become conscious of your physical, mental, emotional, and energetic needs. Rituals can be as simple or elaborate as you desire. Enhancing our connection to self and practicing presence naturally enriches the relationships in our lives, can bring clarity in moments of confusion or stress, and expands our awareness of life and our connection to all that is.

Somatics

Sound Healing

Sound frequencies bring the body, mind, and soul into a more relaxed state of consciousness, creating synchronicity between the emotional, mental, and energetic bodies. Sound healing is known for its therapeutic effects and positive impact on our overall well-being, and has shown to be an effective way to reduce stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. It has been incorporated into healing rituals around the world for centuries through the use of singing bowls, gongs, and other instruments, as well as the human voice through singing and chanting.

Reiki

Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing modality that facilitates the flow of universal “chi” or “qi” energy, known in Japanese as “ki”. Often considered “acupuncture without needles,” it releases and restores the energy circulating through the body in relation to known acupressure points. Reiki is a great resource for moving stuck, stagnant energy and experiencing enhanced vitality, lightness, and ease.

EFT Tapping

Emotional Freedom Technique tapping is a method of stimulating the central nervous system by tapping on known acupressure points throughout the body, releasing serotonin among other beneficial chemicals. The physical practice of tapping is paired with acknowledging the thoughts, feelings, and emotions in our life that are causing discomfort or pain, rewriting them with statements of acceptance and empowerment.

Vagal Tone

Vagal toning allows the nervous system to relax. The vagus nerve is an essential part of your autonomic nervous system. As the longest cranial nerve in the parasympathetic nervous system, it carries information from your brain to your body monitoring everything from breathing and heart rate, to digestion, sweating, and the immune system. The vagus nerve has a profound impact on our physical state and experience. A high vagal tone allows your body to recover from stress quickly, with ease and greater adaptability. The Reverie Method assesses the specific needs of your vagal tone and incorporates the most aligned modalities to bring you back into balance. Breathwork, movement, massage, cold therapy, vocal stimulation, and sound frequency are common modalities for increasing vagal tone.
